This weeks Bulletin 25/01/12

Leopard class circle time

22nd February 2012
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that you had a refreshing half term holiday.
I’m sorry to say that Mrs Skivington (our wonderful nursery teacher) is still unwell and is hoping to be back at some point next week. The Nursery team is doing a great job in her absence and the children are calm and settled.
There was an interesting piece in The Telegraph this weekend explaining that Michael Gove is going to announce that the government will no longer condone families taking holidays during term time. Apparently the government is to make an announcement at the end of this month. This is the link if you are interested.

Bounceinto spring! We are holding our annual Sponsored bounce on Tuesday 20th March and are sure that everyone will have a great time, as usual. The whole school (from nursery to year 6) will be doing a sponsored bounce. Each child bounces as many times as they can in one minute, on a bouncy castle. If you are free on the day to help count, let your class rep know.
Please help your child, or children, to get as many sponsors as they can to enable us to raise as much money as we can for OUR school. There will be prizes for children collecting the most sponsors and for the most bounces. Please start collecting sponsors between now and 22nd March. Please get your sponsors to tick the “gift aid” column if they are UK taxpayers and provide their full name and address (at a minimum post code). (NB Please do NOT use this column if the donor is NOT a UK taxpayer). This way we can re-claim the basic rate tax on their donation at no extra cost to the sponsor. Thus every £1 that we raise that is gift aided is worth £1.28 to the school.
