Our new classroomsHere are some recipes from parents to give you new ideas for fast, healthy & inexpensive food that the children will actually eat! If you have any more recipes, please give them to the school office and we will put them on the website.
Jacket potato with a twist
Ingredients:
Bake the potato until it is soft inside. Split it in half and spoon out the cooked potato, leaving two shells. Mash the potato with a little butter and milk. Stir in the yolk of the egg, grated cheese and chopped ham and lightly cooked sweet corn & peas. Whisk the white of the egg until stiff, then stir into the potato mixture. Spoon the whole lot back into the potato shells and cook in the oven until hot and crispy on top.
Pasta with green sauce
Ingredients:
Cook the pasta and while it is boiling, steam the broccoli above it in a sieve, with a lid over the top to keep the steam in.
When it is all cooked drain the pasta, tip the broccoli in and add as much pesto and tuna as you like to make it taste good – normally about half a jar for two children.
